Kubota Z482 — a brand-name diesel in a tiny footprint
For the R06 ECO, Rippa deliberately chose the Kubota Z482: a water-cooled two-cylinder diesel, 8.2 kW (11.2 hp) at 3,000 rpm and only 0.479 litres of displacement. The result is high output at low consumption (0.8–1.2 l/h), low vibration and surprisingly quiet running — important close to homes and on noise-sensitive sites.
What makes the R06 a genuine first: fitting this engine into a machine only 747 mm wide and 747 kg in weight. In the micro class under one tonne, unbranded single-cylinder engines usually dominate. With the Z482 you get the Kubota parts network across Switzerland — engine parts, filters and service at every Kubota outlet.
Built to CE and EPA standards, designed for daily jobsite use: easy to maintain, economical and built to last for years — not a disposable import, but a compact professional tool with a brand-name engine.
Design detail
Side-swing + yaw offset boom
The boom swings sideways and adjusts on the yaw axis — up to 70° of offset. Dig along walls, corners and pipework without repositioning the machine every few minutes. Less repositioning, more precision: ideal for landscaping, municipal work and narrow inner courtyards.
Control & comfort
747 mm wide — through doorways, gates and onto a trailer
At 747 mm wide, 1,594 mm tall and only 747 kg, the R06 fits through narrow passages and onto a standard trailer. Rubber tracks are gentle on lawns and paving. LED work lights and an illuminated logo give good visibility at dusk. Adjustable seat with seatbelt and removable headrest — comfortable even on longer jobs.
