Engineered performance
Kubota D722 — brand-name Japanese diesel for indoor and tight spaces
A modern, reliable Japanese three-cylinder diesel, water-cooled, compliant with the Stage V emissions standard in force in Switzerland/EU.
Unlike the air-cooled Chinese single-cylinder engines found in many other machines, this quality engine offers decisive advantages:
- Excellent parts and service availability worldwide
- Very quiet operation
- No overheating issues thanks to water cooling and an integrated hydraulic oil cooler
- No hearing protection needed and no annoyed neighbours
The ideal solution for all work in built-up surroundings, including urban areas.
The R13 PRO runs on the genuine Kubota D722: 10.2 kW (13.9 hp) at 2,500 rpm, 0.719 l displacement, 1.1–1.5 l/h fuel consumption. Noticeably more power than the entry-level R10 — with the full Kubota parts network in Switzerland. The D722 is the same proven engine fitted to the R15 ECO: easy to service and built for long working days.
Two travel speeds (0–1.8 / 0–2.8 km/h), 30% gradeability and stable hydraulics make the R13 PRO the professional tool for basements, inner courtyards and sites larger excavators simply cannot reach.
Tip: Once your project is finished, you can resell the machine used if you wish.
Design detail
78 cm profile — through doorways, lifts and basement access
With its retractable undercarriage (from 750 mm) and narrow superstructure, the R13 PRO passes through standard 80 cm doorways and into many passenger and goods lifts — provided the load capacity is sufficient for around 1.3 tonnes. Indoor demolition, basement renovation and backyards with no access become plannable instead of days of manual labour.
Jobsite ready
Zero-tail rear end — work right up against the wall
The rear end never overhangs the tracks while slewing. Turn in a minimal footprint, dig along walls and foundations without constantly repositioning the machine. Exactly what basements, garages and tight inner courtyards need — where every centimetre counts.
Control & comfort
Thumb, quick coupler and pilot joystick — standard
Hydraulic thumb and mechanical quick coupler are standard on our machines: dig, grab, sort and swap tools without long downtime. Pilot joystick control gives fine hydraulic handling — essential when every millimetre counts and there is no margin for error.
Built to last
Adjustable undercarriage from 750 to 990 mm
Retracted, narrow enough for a gateway; extended, stable on site: the 750–990 mm adjustable undercarriage combines transport comfort with digging stability. Transport width 849 mm, digging depth 2.04 m and dig radius 3.46 m — genuine 1.3-tonne performance in a minimal footprint.
